SYDNEY MAGIC CLUB (IBM Ring 102)
Application for Membership.

Sydney Magic Club is a community for both professional and aspiring magicians. By applying for membership that you have a genuine interest in the art of magic beyond being an audience member. This may include a desire to learn more about performing magic, or interests such as collecting, studying magic history, or other related areas within the magic community. Sydney Magic Club reserves the right to decline applications or request additional information. Once membership has been confirmed an invoice for membership fees will be issued.

Members must agree to abide by the constitution of the club and promise not to violate any rules and regulations there within.

Applicants must also agree to abide by the club’s code of ethics:

1. To oppose the wilful exposure to the public of any principles of the Art of Magic or the methods employed in any magic effect or illusion.
2. To display ethical behaviour and conduct as magicians in the presentation of magic to the public including non-interference with or jeopardising the performance of another magician.
3. To recognise and respect the rights of the creators, inventors, authors and owners of magical concepts, presentations, effects and literature and their right to have exclusive use of such creations and the rights to grant permission to others.
4. To discourage false or misleading statements in the advertisement of effects or merchandise in literature and actions pertaining to the magical arts.
5. To avoid, when giving a magical performance or using a member of the public as an assistant, any verbal or physical behaviour which would give cause or be likely to give cause for complaint.

Sydney Magic Club reserves the right to reject an application for membership and does not undertake to advance reasons for rejection. In this event the amount paid for the dues wil be refunded.

The data you have supplied will be used only for administration purposes and to contact you about Sydney Magic Club and related events and activities. The information wil remain confidential and wil be held securely according to the Privacy Act 1988. No information wil be passed to any third party. You have the right at any time to ask us to remove the information we hold.
