The IBM Ring 102 and The Geniis Magical Society present

A full day Magician’s seminar with guest speakers, lectures, workshops, forums and shows.

The $55 ticket price includes lectures, discussions, magic shows, lunch and refreshments. Sensational value!

This might well be the most important magic event this decade!

The Magic Business is being held as part of the NSW Government 2022 Small Business Month, and is funded with help from a generous grant from the government.
Over the past 2 years, Magicians and entertainers have suffered an unforeseen drop in their business and dramatic changes in market conditions which may affect the way they deliver their services for years to come. Some have adapted to online content but many have been forced to take on other work to make ends meet.
You might be surprised to know that there are more than 80 professional magicians in NSW. They perform on cruise ships, in theatres, at corporate and private events, family events and even in people’s homes. Add to this group, the vast number of amateur magicians, semi-pros and enthusiasts who add to the fabric of our industry and the effects of the pandemic have been widespread.
This unique event, sponsored by NSW Government, IBM Ring 102 and Geniis Magical Society will bring together business talks and seminars, creative magic lectures and performances all aimed to help you as a small business owner to improve your work and business in the coming years. We’ll be covering Sales, Marketing, Social Media and general Business advice as well as close-up, stand-up and family magic. We’ll also have dealer stands where you’ll be able to purchase a wide range of magic tricks, materials and accessories.
Seminars of this type in other industries often cost hundreds and even thousands of dollars. Thanks to the generous support of the NSW government and the magic societies we are able to subsidise this full day of real learning plus lunch and refreshments so you’ll pay just $55.

Traditional magic conventions are held on weekends making it nearly impossible for a professional entertainer to attend. That’s why we’ve taken the unique step of moving it to a Monday! We’d like to invite you to be part of this unique day, to meet other magicians and learn about how to Rebuild, Recharge and Renew your magic post pandemic.
Parking at the venue is free and the North Ryde train station is 1.5km away.
The Magic Business is a COVID Safe event following the relevant rules in place on the date and any requirements of the venue. This may include mask wearing and restrictions based on vaccination status.
